God knows how I adore life
When the wind turns on the shores lies another day
I cannot ask for more

When the time bell blows my heart
And I have scored a better day

Well nobody made this war of mine
And the moments that I enjoy
A place of love and mystery
I'll be there anytime

Oh mysteries of love
Where war is no more
I'll be there anytime

When the time bell blows my heart
And I have scored a better day
Well nobody made this war of mine

And the moments that I enjoy
A place of love and mystery
I'll be there anytime

Mysteries of love
Where war is no more
I'll be there anytime

A little cheesy, I know. But I like it. What I'd want and where I'd be for my Violet. In a place of love and mystery, where war is no more. I'll be there anytime....

It's '08 bitches!

So.... did '08 arrive as quietly for everyone else also? Or is it just because I missed all the "year in review" shows this year? Or because I had to work new years eve and day?

Anyways. '07 is gone! Good riddance! It had some good stuff though.

Best of '07 for the swede?

Things that blew my mind:

  • Radiohead's In rainbows and all other Radiohead goodies
  • the Coens' No country for old men
  • the ultimate collectors edition of Blade runner
  • The Shins' Wincing the night away
  • Arcade fire's Neon bible
  • Liars' s/t

The one thing that blew my mind, body, and soul (in a good way): Violet.

Honorable mentions:

  • Silly comedies: Superbad and Knocked up
  • Zodiac
  • New season of Curb your enthusiasm
  • Tim & Eric
  • The Lookout

Things I felt let down by:

  • The Transformers movie, Number 23, Mr Brooks, 300 and Smokin' Aces (Yes! I expected entertainment!)
  • I am Legend (Raped the original story and CGI zombies)
  • Eastern Promises (I really thought I'd like it)

My new years resolution: Cut back on pet peeves. I've got too many really retarded ones.

It's a girl

So we finally found out what's about to arrive. A little girl namned Violet (Leona?) Johansson. I guess Lee's and my dreams were true.

But I guess it's not necesseraly "news", found out about two weeks ago.

Since our first ultrasound didn't work out, I made sure Char had a nice cup of coffe before our appointment. And Violet was hyper.

Anyways, it's nice. I feel proud.

YES!

Have to get this one when it comes out!!!

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

You play as Darth Vader's apprentice, hunting down Jedis.

Looks awesome!

Baby deal seems to coming along just fine.

I had a dream, but this time it was a boy. My mom thinks it's a boy.

We'll find out tuesday!

It's very exciting, I must say.

It feels nice. Thinking about being a dad feels really nice.

I haven't looked forward to something I'm absolutely scared shitless of ever.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do, but I trust God put it in me.

I wonder what all these iconic, or not iconic, people who died at an early age would be like today.

Would they have just faded away, been caricatures of themselves, created greater things?

Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Jimmy Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith?

Watched a documentary about Jeff Buckley the other day. He only had time for one album. Died while recording demos for his second.

I don't care for is first album, Grace, that much. But there's plenty of talent there.

And how awesome is Pablo honey, compared to Radiohead's later releases? Not very awesome at all....

But in contrast to bands like The Rolling stones who are pretty ridiculous these days, what would the Beatles be like? Probably still broken up. Maybe it would have saved us from some of those McCartney solo stuff....

Or Hendrix?

The Doors had already started to go really stale.

Nirvana?

I like to ponder the impossible, it makes my brain tingle. And hurt a little....

But as the Unamuno quote goes: "Only he who attempts the absurd is capable of achieving the impossible."

And why do so many have names that start with a J?

Jim, John, Jimmy, Jeff, Janis.....

My dreams

I've had quite a few dreams of our forthcoming child.

It's always a girl.

Every time.

Is it a sign, or just dreams?

But in my dreams, she's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

In my dreams I wouldn't dream of having it any other way.
